Artist Bio

Darby Shea Boggs is a fine artist living just outside Savannah, Georgia with her husband and two sweet children. When she’s not dedicated to helping others as a physical therapist, Darby retreats into a world of color and calm. In her studio, painting is more than a pastime—it’s a journey. It’s where she finds solace in the interplay of light with her subjects, and where nature’s quiet magic becomes her muse.

Artist Statement

There’s something sacred in stillness — in the hush of the morning marsh, the glow of a fading sky, or the steady gaze of a small bird. Darby’s work is a way of listening to those moments. Through oil and acrylic, she explores the spaces where memory and nature meet — soft fields, winding waterways, and fleeting light. These scenes are often inspired by the Southeastern landscape she calls home and the way it quietly roots itself in us over time.

As both a painter and a mother, Darby moves between the tender chaos of everyday life and the steady rhythm of brushstrokes. She paints to make sense of both — to honor the gentle beauty that persists even in the busiest seasons. She hopes that her paintings offer a pause, a breath, and a sense of belonging to the viewer — like returning to a place you didn’t know you missed.
